Writer
Emanuel Grigoras is a Romanian-Canadian writer of science fiction, historical fiction, and contemporary literature.
He began writing in Romania, where books and storytelling offered both an escape from the constraints of the communist period and a way to explore different worlds, ideas, and possible futures.
In 2010, he published his first novel in Romanian, Locul Potrivit (The Right Place). His short stories and other works have since appeared in Romanian science-fiction publications, including CPSF – Anticipația, Gazeta SF, and Nautilus.
After moving to Toronto in 2015, Emanuel continued writing and publishing in both Romanian and English. His work explores identity, belonging, technology, history, and the choices people make when confronted with unfamiliar or rapidly changing worlds.
Alongside his own writing, he develops digital tools and platforms intended to help independent writers organize their creative work, manage complex projects, and build a lasting presence online.
Digital Product Manager
Emanuel is a Senior Product Manager, entrepreneur, and founder with more than 15 years of experience delivering digital products, platforms, and online services.
He holds a law degree from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași and an MBA from HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Master.
His experience spans product strategy, service design, platform development, APIs, data products, SaaS, digital transformation, and Agile delivery. He has worked with public-sector organizations, technology companies, financial-services providers, agencies, and multidisciplinary product teams.
Emanuel is the founder of Asengana, a digital writing platform designed to help authors plan, structure, write, and manage complex creative projects. He is also developing Roamer, an open-source initiative focused on privacy, digital identity, authorship, and individual control over personal information online.
His work sits at the intersection of technology, creativity, and digital autonomy: building products that help people create, communicate, and participate online without surrendering control of their work or identity.
